The introduction of the IEC 61111 standard ensures that mats offer a higher and safer working voltage compared to the older BS 921 industry standard. This ensures that you not only have superior protection, but also that you meet strict health and safety guidelines.

We still keep stock of the older specification safety mats, as these products still adhere to safety guidelines and their specification suits certain customers. However, we have increased production of the IEC 61111 standard mats to meet the booming demand for the products. The newer grade mats are now available for immediate delivery to any destination around the world.

Excellent Safety

As you can see from the table above the IEC 61111 specification offers the same maximum voltage of 36,000V as the BS 921 equivalent. However, the new specification is broken down into more class categories. This ensures that you only need to pay for the exact amount of protection that the application requires.

For example, customers who purchased the older BS 921 650V working, 15V tested matting, would now use the IEC 61111 Class 0 product. This is because the previous BS 921 650V classification would now come under the 1000V maximum working voltage in the IEC specification.
