Our sales team recently collaborated with an aeroponics company to craft custom rubber components tailored for their nozzle aeroponics system. Comprised of a dedicated team of growers, engineers, plant scientists, software developers, and business experts deeply invested in food and environmental sustainability, the company specialises in designing and constructing aeroponic technology and farm management software for indoor and vertical farms. Their innovative solutions not only mitigate the environmental impact of agriculture but also streamline farmers’ operations.
The specific request entailed 25 substrate flaps and 7 substrate plate ‘H’ flaps. The substrate plate flaps, designed to cover 130mm x 130mm square holes in a metal plate, serve to prevent water from the nozzles from inadvertently spraying out (shown in pictures 3 and 4). These flaps feature a configuration where one side is affixed to the metal plate via two bolts, while the other side can be easily lifted for inspection or replacement of nozzles.
In addition, the ‘H’ flap, as depicted in images 5 and 6, serves the purpose of bridging the gap between two plates, effectively preventing water from escaping through the opening.
Leveraging our in-house digital CNC knife cutting machine, we manufactured these flaps to precise specifications. Our capability extends to manufacturing, designing and supplying rubber and elastomer components for diverse applications, ensuring versatility in meeting our clients’ needs. With our dedicated sales team readily available to offer tailored solutions, we pride ourselves on delivering excellence in bespoke solutions.
