Product Description
This specific grade of cloud 9 underlay offers unbeatable flame retardant properties. This high quality underlay is lightweight, easy to install and meets British fire safety standards. Cloud 9 underlay is used regularly in residential applications. However, we feel that the flame retardant grade is perfect for marine applications. This is due to the unique features that could 9 underlay offers compared to the competition.
Fire Protection
A key feature of this grade of cloud 9 underlay is it’s flame retardant properties. The underlay is independently tested to meet BS 5808 (1991) safety standards. This significantly reduces the spread of fire and gives you enough time to extinguish the flames before they spread. This particular underlay also produces much less smoke and toxic gas compared to similar alternatives.
Noise Reduction
A less known but sill crucial feature of the cloud 9 underlay is the materials excellent insulation properties. As well as offering excellent thermal insulation this product greatly reduces noise. If installed correctly this underlay can dampen sound by up to 38dB (8mm thickness). Anyone who owns a boat will tell you that the noise from the engine can ruin the clam, peaceful surroundings.
