The Rubber Company Proud - The Divinity Foundation

Some members of The Rubber Company family travelled to Kenya to offer free healthcare.

We take immense pride in two esteemed members of the Rubber Company family, Jo and Phoebe, who recently embarked on a journey to Kenya in support of a vital medical expedition organised by the Divinity Foundation Charity. Their noble mission involves providing free healthcare services through the charity. This year, they assumed the role of midwives, a crucial addition as the charity has just completed the construction of a maternity centre, aimed at preventing unnecessary loss of lives.

Jo and Phoebe dedicated their time to educating local elders on the recognition of complications during labour, emphasising the importance of timely transfers for possible caesarean sections. It’s worth noting that the nearest hospital can be up to a six-hour walk away, making swift action a matter of life and death.

One of the charity’s goals is to acquire a small ambulance, if possible. Any contributions toward this goal would be immensely appreciated. The Divinity Foundation Charity has already made a significant impact by rescuing countless girls through their dedicated rescue centre, which sustains itself through agriculture and the sale of handmade crafts. However, the charity still relies on donations to provide essential education and supplies for these girls. Your support can truly make a difference in these girls’ lives.
