Product Description

Our vulcanised scarf joined O-rings provide a cost-effective solution for producing large diameter O-rings and custom-sized O-rings without the need for expensive mould tooling. By joining and vulcanising high-quality O-ring cord, we can manufacture bespoke O-rings in virtually any diameter, making them ideal for applications where standard moulded sizes are unavailable or uneconomical.

Unlike some joining methods, the scarf joint creates a smooth, seamless finish with no excess material around the joint, ensuring a clean appearance and consistent sealing performance.

The quality of every vulcanised O-ring begins with the O-ring cord itself. Our cord is manufactured using precision laser-controlled extrusion technology to deliver exceptional dimensional accuracy. Cross sections up to 6.35mm comply with DIN 7715 E1 tolerances, while larger cross sections conform to DIN 7715 E2 standards.

Each O-ring is produced using a carefully controlled vulcanisation process and subjected to stringent quality inspections. This ensures the scarf joint typically achieves at least 90% of the strength of the original cord, providing excellent durability and long-term performance in demanding sealing applications.

Available Sizes

Our vulcanised O-rings are available in standard cord cross sections from 1.78mm to 25.4mm. Larger cross sections can also be manufactured upon request to suit specific application requirements.
