Product Description
Our high grade EPDM rubber sheeting is available in either peroxide cured or sulphur cured options, with each providing slightly different properties. This gives you greater control over the specific properties you want the material to offer, and ensures that you get the best product to suit your application. Both of these material grades provide good physical characteristics coupled with great weathering and Ozone resistance as standard. We can supply this product in 1mm to 40mm thicknesses as standard. We can also produce the material in a variety of formats such as; full rolls, strip cut lengths as well as bespoke gaskets and shapes.
Peroxide Cured
A peroxide cured high grade EPDM rubber produces very stable carbon to carbon bonds, which results in superior material stability. This creates a material that performs better at higher temperatures as well as providing superior resistance to heat ageing and compression set. The higher working temperature range of peroxide cured EPDM makes it the preferred choice for manufacturing gaskets for high temperature applications. The peroxide cured grade also tends to maintain its colour during the curing process, which reduces the chance of bloom occurring.
Sulphur Cured
A sulphur cured high grade EPDM rubber provides superior physical properties as standard when compared to the peroxide cured alternative. The superior tensile and tear strength create a material that is suitable for use in more physically demanding applications. Sulphur cured EPDM also enables a wider range of fillers to be used during the manufacturing process. This can help to reduce costs in some light and medium range applications.
