The SafaWood® Difference
The installation of wooden decking has become an increasingly popular method to enhance an outdoor area. However, anyone who has wooden decking will tell you that the product is not without its faults. Standard decking boards are prone to becoming slippery and hazardous during colder temperatures. The boards also require regular maintenance to prevent rot and discolouration.
This is where our SafaWood® decking boards really set themselves apart from the competition.
The EPDM granules that we use in SafaWood® create a non-slip surface which is far superior to standard decking. This ensures that you get an anti-slip decking which has been specifically designed for use in all weather conditions. The attractive range of colours SafaWood® offers can also help to bring new life to your outdoor area.
Unbeatable Safety
A key feature of our SafaWood® anti-slip decking boards is the products unbeatable safety and durability. The high-quality EPDM surface we use provides excellent non slip properties. Rubber, unlike PVC and wood is able to maintain consistent levels of performance even in sub-zero conditions. This enables you to use your new decking during the winter months without fear of slipping.
The bonded EPDM granules also provide a softer surface underfoot, which results in greater levels of impact absorption. This provides superior protection should any falls occur.
In order to ensure that you get the safest product possible, we get all of our SafaWood® decking boards independently tested. This product is rated as “low potential for slip” when tested to BS 7976 part 2 standards.
