Bespoke Glazing Seals Case Study - Castle Park View

In association with Bouygues UK, The Rubber Company has successfully designed, developed and manufactured a range of EPDM rubber extruded Glazing Seals.

The EPDM expansion seals were a bespoke design for the unitized facades installed in the construction of Castle Park View, a landmark residential development. The complex boasts Bristol’s tallest 26-storey building in the five block building scheme. Six metre high castellations and bespoke material unitized facades provide stunning visual appeal on the Bristol skyline. The development sits on the largest urban green space in the city and with the castle moat still flowing below, is rich in archeological and historic terms.

Several EPDM rubber extruded profiles were developed following an initial enquiry from Bouygues for a TPE Expansion Seal from our existing range. It became apparent that bespoke seals were required, and The Rubber Company assisted with design and development, adapting profile designs to ensure flush fitting of the window frames within the deep window reveals.

To meet stringent delivery demands and deadlines, and facilitate ambitious production schedules, timely turnarounds were achieved by expediting raw materials and tooling development.

The Rubber Company are proud to have played a part in this vast operation and first class construction project.
