Product Description

Our fabricated hatch seals are manufactured from a cellular sponge sheeting with a glued solid rubber outer face on one side. These are then cut to size to the customers specific requirement. The outer rubber face gives the seal strength from vibration and wear, whilst the sponge core allows for compression creating a watertight seal. These seals are ideal for applications where the seal will be subjected to a large amount of vibration or fairly strong closing forces such as around engine hatches or heavy machinery.

 

Material Selection

The Rubber Company can offer three different types of rubber for the sealing face dependant on the customers specification and application:

  • Natural rubber – for general purpose use
  • Neoprene rubber – for high temp and ozone resistance
  • Nitrile rubber – for gas and oil resistance
