Product Description
Our flame retardant sponge strips offer excellent flame resistance as well as low smoke and fume emission properties. This product is available in widths of 5mm to 30mm, with thicknesses ranging from 0.8mm to 25.4mm. We supply this product in ether 10, 6 or 3 metre lengths depending on the size of the strips.
Our flame retardant sponge strips are available in a choice of 2 densities to suit specific applications:
- RC800 – Medium grade
- RC1000 – Extra soft grade
We manufacture our flame retardant sponge strips specifically for use in high temperature or fire contact applications. Flame retardant describes a product which is slower to burn compared to other similar products. It also produces fewer toxic gasses and fumes compared to other rubber products. This ensures that our product is considerably safer and dependable compared to other rubber compounds.
Silicone sponge products combine the superior softness and lightness of sponge with the excellent resistance and durability of solid rubber. This creates a highly versatile product; you also cut and shape the product to suit any application.
Aside from offering excellent flame retardant properties, our sponge strips also feature good resistance to extreme temperatures. This product is able to maintain its useful properties in temperatures as low as -55°C and as high as 200°C. The broad temperature range enables you to use our flame retardant sponge strips in a variety of environments with ease.
