Product Description
Here at the rubber company we can manufacture polyurethane bellows and connectors to your exact specifications. These bellows offer excellent strength and flexibility while also being able to be manufactured in complex and non-standard shapes. Aside from standard material grades we can also manufacture our polyurethane bellows in FDA compliant grades.
We can manufacture the FDA grade of our polyurethane connectors and bellows in crystal clear, blue or black colours to suit your specific application. One advantage of FDA grade polyurethane is that it is able to create a seal that is as strong as the material itself. This enables it to form a tight seal, even in low pressure applications. The material has been independently tested to meet FDA specifications for food contact and medical applications. We can also manufacture FDA convoluted bellows with either a single standard convolution, or we can add more convolutions to allow for larger movement capabilities.
Available Material Grades
We offer a selection of standard material grades to suit a wide variety of applications and environments. This ensures that you can always get the best material to suit your unique requirements. We can manufacture polyurethane bellows and connectors from the following:
Polyester Polyurethane
This material is FDA approved and is available clear, which makes it suitable for use in food and pharmaceutical applications. Clear bellows enable you to easily identify any blockages without line disruption. Polyester polyurethane also provides excellent abrasion resistance, which makes it ideal for the transportation of powders and other fine granules. It is available in 0.35mm, 1mm and 1.5mm wall thicknesses as standard.
Polyether Polyurethane
Our polyether polyurethane grade is a softer, transparent material that is commonly used in load-cell applications due to the increased flexibility it offers. We can produce this material to your exact specifications in order to create a watertight seal where required. We can supply this material in 0.35mm, 0.6mm and 1.5mm wall thicknesses as standard.
ATEX Certified
Aside from FDA bellows, we can also manufacture a variety of ATEX certified bellows and connectors. These have been specifically developed for use in highly hazardous and explosive environments. This enables our bellows to maintain consistent performance and gives you superior protection when transporting gases, oils and liquids. All of our ATEX bellows and connectors are tested and certified by independent organisations.
Nylon Reinforced Polyurethane
Our nylon reinforced polyurethane is available in white as standard. The nylon reinforcement gives the advantage of additional strength for higher pressure applications. You can also use it to give a small pressure rating to un-reinforced rubber as well as fabric connectors. We supply this material with a wall thickness of 0.3mm as standard.
PVC
Our PVC bellows material is a crystal clear material that is also UV stable. This makes it ideal for use in outdoor applications as it is able to maintain its clarity even while under strong sunlight. We can supply this material with a 0.5mm wall thickness as standard.
