Product Description
Continuous Filament glass cloth is coated with specially formulated fire-retardant aluminium pigmented polyurethane elastomer. The polyurethane coating is an economical finish which stabilises the glass fibres, allowing for easier cutting/tailoring. This unique combination of materials makes aluminium coated glass cloth well-suited for heat shield applications, as well as the production of fire and smoke curtains, blinds and cavity wall fire barriers. Additionally, it can be utilised in the manufacturing of customised insulation jackets.
We offer aluminium coated glass cloth in various supply options, including cut-to-size pieces, rolls, or tailored manufacturing to meet your specific requirements.
Important Information
+90°C is the temperature at which the polyurethane coating will begin to thermally degrade. Leaving behind micronized aluminium particles which enhances the cloth’s ability to withstand direct heat and to reflect radiated heat. The base fabric will withstand +550°C unstressed.
