Product Description
Our high-performance RailGuard FR EPDM™ sheeting has been engineered for safety-critical environments where fire protection and material reliability are essential. Manufactured specifically for the transport sector, this premium EPDM rubber sheeting is independently tested by Warringtonfire and certified to EN 45545‑2 HL3, the highest hazard level classification for railway applications. RailGuard FR EPDM™ meets stringent European railway fire safety requirements, making it suitable for both interior and exterior use across trains, trams and metro rolling stock.
The Flame Retardant EPDM compound is fully halogen-free, ensuring low smoke emission and reduced toxicity in the event of fire – an essential safety requirement for passenger transport systems. In addition to its excellent flame-retardant performance, the material offers strong resistance to weathering, ozone and UV exposure, maintaining durability in demanding outdoor conditions. It also demonstrates good resistance to dilute acids and bases, making it suitable for abrasive or industrial environments where long-term performance is required.
RailGuard FR EPDM™ sheeting is available in multiple thicknesses, and we can supply precision strip-cut lengths, custom profiles and bespoke gaskets to meet specific engineering requirements. This versatility makes the material ideal for sealing and vibration-control components used throughout the rail and transport sectors.
