Our Anti-Slip Safety Grip Tape is a heavy-duty, self-adhesive anti-slip solution designed to reduce the risk of slips and falls in both commercial and domestic environments. It is ideal for use on stairs, steps, ramps, walkways, platforms and other areas where additional traction is required.
The tape can be applied to individual step edges or used to cover larger surface areas, making it a versatile solution for general safety and slip-prevention applications across a wide range of settings.
Durable Aluminium Oxide Surface
Manufactured with a medium-grade 60 grit aluminium oxide abrasive, the tape provides excellent grip performance with consistently high levels of friction. This makes it suitable for general anti-slip requirements where reliable traction is essential.
The abrasive surface delivers outstanding durability and maintains its performance over time, even in high-traffic areas. When applied to a non-porous surface, the tape is fully water resistant and performs effectively in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
Sizes, Colours & Roll Options
Our Anti-Slip Safety Grip Tape is available in a wide range of colours and sizes to suit different applications and environments. Standard roll widths range from 19mm up to 1168mm, allowing for everything from narrow step edges to full-width walkway coverage.
Standard stock sizes include 25mm, 50mm, 100mm and 150mm width rolls, all supplied in 18.3 metre lengths. 100 metre rolls are available on request, and full-width master logs can also be supplied.
For specialist requirements, custom widths between 10mm and 18mm can be manufactured upon request.
Construction, Thickness & Adhesion
The tape has a total applied thickness of 0.7mm, offering an ideal balance between durability and flexibility. A 0.1mm PVC backing provides strong, long-lasting adhesion while allowing the tape to conform easily to smooth or lightly textured surfaces.
This construction delivers a robust layer of slip protection without adding unnecessary height, making it suitable for both flat and contoured applications.
Application & Temperature Performance
For optimal adhesion, Safety Grip Tape should be applied at temperatures of 10°C or above. Once installed, it performs reliably across a wide service temperature range of -40°C to +70°C, ensuring consistent grip in demanding environmental conditions.
Installation is quick and straightforward – the tape can be cut to size and applied immediately, with no drying or curing time required.
Safety Standards
Safety is paramount. Our Anti-Slip Safety Grip Tape has been independently tested to BS 7976-2 and achieves a slip resistance rating of R13, confirming its high level of grip and effectiveness in reducing slip risks in safety-critical areas.
