Product Description
Rubber to metal bonding presents an ideal procedure for fabricating components and parts, including valve assemblies, shafts, and rollers. Further applications of this technique involve the fusion of rubber components with steel, aluminium, and brass. These components find widespread utility within the Rail and Transport sectors.
Rubber-to-metal bonding is a method where rubber becomes mechanically fastened to metal during the rubber moulding process. This incorporation of components into a singular part, as opposed to retaining two or three distinct components, not only results in potential cost savings, but also furnishes a more uniform and technically superior solution.
We provide customised solutions for rubber-to-metal bonding, crafted to meet the individual requirements of our customers. Our team of adept experts can lend assistance in product development, design, and the selection of appropriate rubber-to-metal bonding agents to match the performance prerequisites of the application. Our primary objective in each project is to manufacture top-quality products with the utmost efficiency.
Important Information
The bonding process employed for rubber-to-metal depends on the particular application, specifically how the final part is intended to be employed.
The bonding process can vary slightly depending on the size and complexity of both the metal and rubber parts, which are being bonded. Generally, the process consists of the metal insert being thoroughly cleaned and degreased. Once the insert is dry a base primer coat is applied, with a top coat being applied over that. The rubber is then moulded over the insert in order to ensure the best fit possible. High bond strength is achieved under pressure using either: Compression, Injection or Transfer moulding methods.
