Product Description
Our flame retardant EPDM sheeting is tested and certified to European standards EN 45545-2 and is a premium grade material, that provides excellent flame-retardant properties. This material fully conforms to European railway fire safety standards. Its flame-retardant properties have also been independently tested by Warrington Fire UK, ensuring you get the highest quality flame retardant properties for a number of applications and working environments. We can supply this sheeting in a variety of thicknesses from 0.5mm to 50mm in 1.4m x 10m rolls as standard. It can also be supplied in strip cut lengths and bespoke gaskets manufactured to your exact requirements.
Another key feature of our flame retardant EN 45545-2 EPDM sheeting is that the material is completely halogen free. This greatly reduces the amount of toxic and hazardous gasses that are released when the material burns. EPDM provides excellent resistance to weathering and ozone deterioration for use in interior and exterior applications. It also provides good dilute acid and bases resistance for use in abrasive environments.
Our flame retardant EPDM sheeting received a Class 2 rating on BS 476 part 7 – Surface Spread Flame Test. For a material to receive a Class 2 rating it ensures that the spread of flames is to be no greater than 215mm within the first minute and a half of the test. It also ensures that the overall spread is no more than 455mm.
