Product Description
We manufacture our EPDM tiles using a dual layer system, featuring a SBR base layer with an EPDM Top layer. This enables our play tiles to utilise the best of both compounds and ensures that you get the most vibrant and durable tiles possible. The base layer granlues provides the majority of the impact and sound absorption properties. You can increase or decrease the base layer to allow for different critical fall heights. The top layer features higher quality granules which are non-marking and available in a wide selection of colours. The thickness of the EPDM layer generally remains the same regardless of the overall thickness of tiles. We can produce our EPDM top play tiles in either 500mm x 500mm or 1000mm x 1000m sizes. We can also supply our tiles in a wide variety of thicknesses from 40mm to 80mm as standard.
The top EPDM layer of our EPDM tiles are manufactured using a pressure moulding system to meet EN1177 and BS7188 standards. Pressure moulding enables our EPDM play tiles to offer superior UV stability, which helps to stop the release of black carbon. Our play tiles and the materials used to produce them are also non-toxic. This ensures that our tiles are safe for use by children in schools, playgrounds and leisure applications. The underside of the tiles features a wide ribbed design as standard. This enables you to either install our tiles directly on top of sand or bond to concrete.
We can produce our EPDM play tiles with ramped edges or corner designs in order to reduce tripping hazards. The angle of the ramp depends on the thickness of the tiles, please be aware that thicker tiles may still have a slight lip. You can easily join our tiles together using the included plastic connection pins to create a fast and secure installation.
Standard Colour Options
Please note, colour stock is subject to availability and production lead times will be confirmed at the time of enquiry or order.
