RubbaTile Rubber Playground Safety Tiles
Our RubbaTile rubber playground tiles provide durable, impact-absorbing safety surfacing for playgrounds, recreational areas and other outdoor spaces. Manufactured from high-quality recycled SBR rubber sourced from truck tyres, these heavy-duty rubber safety tiles combine excellent shock absorption, abrasion resistance and anti-slip performance.
Designed to provide a safer alternative to hard surfaces such as concrete and tarmac, RubbaTile helps cushion the impact of falls around play equipment and other areas where additional protection is required. The resilient rubber construction also provides excellent durability, making these tiles a cost-effective solution for high-traffic outdoor environments.
Impact-Absorbing Playground Safety Surfacing
RubbaTile playground tiles are designed to provide cushioning and impact absorption beneath play equipment, helping to reduce the risk of injury following a fall. A choice of thicknesses enables the level of cushioning to be matched to the requirements of the installation, with thicker tiles providing increased shock absorption.
The textured anti-slip surface provides reliable grip in both wet and dry conditions, while the porous construction allows rainwater to drain through the tiles. This helps reduce standing water and provides dependable performance throughout changing weather conditions.
Sizes, Thicknesses & Colours
RubbaTile safety tiles are supplied in large 1m x 1m squares, allowing sizeable areas to be covered quickly while minimising unnecessary cutting and joins.
Tiles are available in thicknesses from 20mm up to 90mm, providing a versatile solution for different levels of cushioning and impact protection.
Standard tiles are manufactured in black recycled SBR rubber, with other colour options available. Please note that these coloured SBR tiles are not UV-stable and may release black carbon. They are therefore not recommended for areas where young children may crawl or have prolonged contact with the surface, such as nurseries, schools and similar environments. For these applications, consider our EPDM Topped RubbaTiles.
Easy Installation
RubbaTile rubber safety flooring is designed for straightforward installation. Tiles can be laid and butted closely together, with the weight of the thicker tiles helping to keep the surface securely positioned.
For permanent installations, a suitable two-part adhesive can be used to secure the tiles in place. Tiles 30mm thick and above feature a profiled underside, making them suitable for installation over prepared gravel, sand and similar substrates.
Ramped edge and corner tiles are also available to create a smooth transition between the rubber surfacing and surrounding areas, helping to minimise potential trip hazards and improve accessibility
