Product Description
Our FDA grade sponge cords provide a 100% safe and non toxic product for use in food contact applications. We supply this product in 10 metre lengths as standard, however we can produce longer lengths if required. This product is available in a range of densities with diameters ranging from 1.5mm to 25mm. This ensures that you always get the perfect product to suit your requirements.
Our FDA sponge cords are available in a choice of 2 density grades:
RC15FDA – Firm grade
RC20FDA – Extra firm grade
FDA approval is given to products which meet certain criteria and are deemed safe for food contact or pharmaceutical applications. Our FDA grade sponge cords are also platinum cured, which gives them significant benefits over similar products. Platinum cured silicone is non-toxic, non-yellowing and also features no peroxide by products.
Aside from being non-toxic, our FDA grade sponge cords also meet the temperature ranges which are required for use in oven and autoclave applications. We also ensure that our product is durable enough to handle frequent use without damage. This increases the life expectancy of the product and enables you to get multiple use out of a single cord.
