Product Description
Our viton solid rubber cord is a high performance product, which is regularly used in automotive, aeronautical, gas and petrochemical sealing applications. Viton is a brand name for FKM or flouroelastomer rubbers that all belong to the same category of elastomers. Viton cords are typically used in highly specialised applications due to the excellent combination of mechanical properties and resistance the cords provide.
Aside from specific high temperature grades, Viton solid rubber cord features the highest operating temperature of any of our rubber cords. It also provides excellent resistance against mineral acids, hydrocarbons and organic solvents deterioration. Our Viton cords feature a good balance of strength, durability and abrasion with flexibility. Another key feature of Viton cord is the products good environmental resistance to weathering and ozone deterioration.
We can supply our Viton cords in a wide variety of sizes from 1mm to 14mm as standard. We can also manufacture bespoke sizes to your exact specifications, subject to minimum order quantities.
