Product Description

Quad-rings, also known as X-Rings or Nu-Lips, are sometimes denoted by a ‘4- dash’ reference. These versatile components find utility across a diverse spectrum of both static and dynamic sealing applications.

The four-lobed configuration offers twice the sealing area when compared to a regular O-ring. This dual-sealing mechanism demands less compression force to uphold an efficient seal. Consequently, this decrease in compression results in lower friction and enhanced longevity of the seal.

Quad-ring parting lines are positioned between the lobes, distanced from the sealing surface. This strategic placement eradicates the challenges of leakage often associated with the uneven surface of a parting line, which is a common issue with O-rings.

Quad-rings are engineered to surpass the performance of a conventional O-ring in rotary seal applications.

The four-lobed structure establishes a more stable seal, preventing spiral twisting. This enables the utilisation of a narrower groove width compared to a traditional O-ring groove. Nevertheless, it can also be employed within a standard O-ring groove.

Quad-rings share identical dimensions with AS568A O-ring sizes, commonly known as standard-sized O-rings. These Quad-rings are accessible in a diverse range of materials.
