Product Description
Our heavy-duty RubbaGrass® interlocking grass mats provide an effective combination of playground safety surfacing, grass reinforcement and ground protection. Manufactured from high-quality recycled rubber, the mats offer excellent impact absorption, anti-slip performance and drainage while allowing natural grass to grow through the open cellular structure.
The interlocking design securely connects individual mats to create a stable, continuous surface across large areas. This makes the matting ideal for children’s play areas, pathways, slopes and other frequently used grassed surfaces where movement, erosion and ground wear can be an issue.
The moulded cellular construction absorbs shock and noise while providing a comfortable, secure surface underfoot. The mats offer a critical fall height of up to 3 metres, tested to BS EN 1177:2008 by RAPRA, making them particularly suitable for installation beneath and around playground equipment.
Grass Reinforcement & Drainage
The open cellular design allows grass to grow naturally through the rubber ground protection matting, helping the mats blend into the surrounding landscape once established. The interconnected surface also helps reinforce the ground and protect grass and soil against erosion caused by frequent foot traffic.
Large open cells provide excellent drainage, allowing rainwater to pass quickly through the matting into the ground below and helping to reduce standing water.
Quick & Easy Installation
The RubbaGrass® interlocking grass mats connect together to provide secure coverage without requiring specialist tools or costly base works. They can be installed across both flat and sloping landscapes and are designed to resist movement and wind uplift.
Once established, maintenance is minimal, with grass able to be cut and maintained as normal.
