RubbaStar Premium Abrasion Resistant Rubber
RubbaStar is a premium natural rubber sheeting developed for applications requiring exceptional abrasion resistance, resilience and elasticity.
Manufactured from a high natural-rubber-content compound, RubbaStar is designed to protect equipment exposed to abrasive materials, slurry, repeated impact and continuous wear. Its combination of low hardness, high elongation and excellent tensile strength enables the rubber to deform under impact, absorb energy and quickly recover its original shape.
With a hardness of approximately 38 Shore A, elongation at break of 810%, tensile strength of 24MPA and an abrasion resistance of 80 mm³, RubbaStar is particularly suited to applications involving sliding abrasion, fine particles, slurry and wet abrasive environments.
The material remains flexible at low temperatures and can be used across a working temperature range of -30°C to +90°C. Its excellent resilience and resistance to abrasion make it suitable for demanding industrial environments where conventional rubber compounds may wear more rapidly.
The material’s high resilience allows abrasive particles to impact and move across the rubber surface while reducing the cutting and grinding action that causes rapid wear on harder, less elastic materials.
Shooting Range Target Backing
RubbaStar is also suitable for use as shooting range target backing and ballistic curtains.
Its soft, highly elastic natural-rubber construction allows the material to stretch as a projectile passes through and then recover around the penetration area. This can help reduce the size of projectile openings while also helping to reduce ricochet, back-splatter and noise within shooting-range environments.
Large sheets can be installed as hanging target-backing curtains, providing a durable and replaceable protective system for both commercial and specialist firing ranges.
A Premium Alternative to Linatex® Rubber
RubbaStar provides a high-performance material for customers searching for Linatex® rubber sheeting alternative or premium natural-rubber abrasion lining.
Its combination of high natural rubber content, low hardness, high elongation and excellent abrasion resistance makes it particularly well suited to wet abrasion, fine-particle handling and other applications where high resilience is essential.
RubbaStar can also be cut, fabricated and supplied to suit individual equipment and installation requirements.
