Product Description
Our fluorosilicone sheets offer superior resistance to many different fuels, oils, solvents, and chemicals, giving you protection in a variety of applications.
This product is available with a width of 914mm in continuous metre lengths. We can also supply a variety of thicknesses from 0.5mm – 3.2mm.
Standard silicone offers good resistance to a variety of solutions, however it will quickly deteriorate when used in fuel contact applications. Our fluorosilicone sheets use a modified silicone rubber which has been fluorinated. This, essentially, “caps off” the polymer chains, greatly increasing the chemical resistance and improving use in applications where fuels, coolants, and oils may be present.
Aside from offering superior chemical resistance, our fluorosilicone sheets also offer many of the useful features found in standard silicone. It provides a wide functional temperature range, from -60°C to +230°C, with intermittent use up to +250°C and is also inherently resistant to weathering, UV, and ozone damage.
