Our high performance, flame retardant silicone sponge material provides excellent flame resistance as well as low smoke and toxicity properties. This enables you to use our material in a number of electronic and sensitive equipment sealing applications. It is also suitable for use in a variety of dust and water sealing in transportation and automotive applications. We can supply this particular material in a variety of density grades from 250 up to 550kg/m3. Our flame retardant silicone is also available in thicknesses from 0.60mm up to 14.00mm as standard, depending on the specific density and colour you require.
Silicone sponge offers far superior rates of compression compared to solid rubber silicone and other solid rubber compounds. It is also flexible while maintaining a high tensile strength. This enables our flame retardant sponge to create a far superior seal against complex or uneven shapes. Another key property of this material is its outstanding compression set resistance. This ensures that our sponge is able to return to its original shape and thickness after a compression load. Gasketing & Sealing
