Our FDA silicone sponge is a high-quality, medium density material that is safe for use in food contact applications. This particular material also features a mostly closed-cell structure to allow for superior rates of sealing with minimal compression. Another key feature of this particular sponge material is that it is platinum cured. Platinum cured silicones are the ideal choice for many food, beverage and medical industries due to the superior purity the material offers. The is largely due to the fact that the material contains no peroxide by-products and is non-toxic as well as non-yellowing.
Due to the high-quality nature of this material, it is suitable for use in a wide variety of applications. We typically supply our FDA silicone sponge for use in gasket and sealing applications within the food and medical industries It is also suitable for use in electronic, automotive, HVAC and marine industries.
This particular material is available in sheet or roll format as standard. We can however, process the sponge into a variety of formats such as; gaskets, strips, seals and cut pieces.
