Product Description

As the name suggests, our water jet cutting process utilises high pressure water, which is forced through a small nozzle. This produces extremely clean as well as precise cuts on a wide range of material thicknesses. For this reason, we would typically suggest using water jet cut gaskets for complex designs and shapes. It is also suitable for soft or delicate materials as the water jet places less stress on the material. This ensures that the gasket is able to retain its structural integrity, while enabling us to create clean cuts at all times.

Another advantage of water jet cut gaskets is that we are able to produce them quickly compared to other cutting methods. This enables us to manufacture prototype gaskets or small production runs with a relatively quick turnaround time. The precision of the water jet also enables us to produce higher yields on average from a single sheet. This produces significantly less waste material, saving you money and reducing lead times.

The variable pressures achievable with the water jet cutting machine enables us to tailor each cut to the required material. This ensures that we are able to maintain consistent finishes and tolerances across all of our water jet cut gaskets. Using high pressure water, we are able to cut very thick as well as laminated materials with ease. This can be particularly useful for glass reinforced gaskets, which can crack during other manufacturing processes.
