Product Description
Our EVA foam gaskets combine resistance with good mechanical properties in order to create a highly versatile gasket. They are very similar in terms of functionality to other closed cell gaskets such as neoprene and polyethylene. However, EVA gaskets typically exhibit better compression recovery as well as being an odourless material. This makes them suitable for use in a wide range of industrial and commercial sealing applications.
EVA gaskets are well known for providing excellent resistance against a wide range of chemicals as well as mild oil resistance. They also feature a wide operating temperature range, will particularly good low temperature resistance. This makes them suitable for use in a number of highly specialised applications. Our EVA foam gaskets also provide good tensile strength properties but aren’t quite as flexible as other gasket materials. Being a closed cell material, these gaskets feature low water absorption properties, which makes it highly buoyant.
Common Applications
Weatherproofing Applications
EVA gaskets provide good weathering, UV, low temperature as well as ageing resistance. This makes them suitable for use in a number of outdoor weatherproofing applications.
Automotive Gaskets
Being a closed cell material, EVA gaskets do not require a great deal of pressure in order to create a seal. When you combine this with excellent chemical and oil resistance you get a gasket that is well suited to automotive applications, particularly in vehicle interiors.
