Product Description
Our metal detectable gaskets provide a specialist sealing solution for food processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing and other contamination-sensitive industries. Manufactured from rubber compounds containing metal detectable additives, these gaskets help identify fragments of damaged or worn seals, reducing the risk of foreign material contamination.
Unlike conventional rubber gaskets, metal detectable materials are designed to be identified by compatible industrial metal detection equipment. This enables compatible metal detection equipment to identify detectable gasket fragments during production, helping operators identify and reject potentially contaminated products before they reach consumers.
We supply metal detectable silicone and nitrile rubber gaskets in a range of sizes, thicknesses and material grades. Selected compounds are available with supporting documentation for FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and EC 1935/2004 food-contact requirements, subject to the specific material grade and intended conditions of use.

Metal Detectable Gasket Materials
We offer metal detectable gaskets in silicone and nitrile rubber, with material selection dependent on the operating conditions and sealing requirements.
Metal Detectable Silicone
Offers excellent flexibility, weather resistance and a wide operating temperature range. Selected grades are suitable for temperatures from -60°C to +200°C and are available in food-contact compliant formulations.
Metal Detectable Nitrile (NBR)
Provides good resistance to oils, fats and grease, making it suitable for food processing equipment exposed to oily substances. Operating temperature limits depend on the selected compound.
Selected materials are available in 60 Shore A hardness, subject to grade and availability.
