Product Description
This translucent hygienic TPE pharmaceutical-grade tubing is specifically designed for peristaltic pumps and tailored for use in the food, pharmaceutical, biotech, and cosmetic industries. Key features of this tubing include:
Low Permeability: The extruded TPE tube boasts low porosity, reducing permeation issues.
Neutral Taste and Odor: Highly neutral in taste and odour, it preserves the organoleptic properties of the conveyed medium.
Chemical Resistance: It exhibits good chemical resistance to acids and alkaline solutions and is versatile, with resistance to alcohols containing up to 50% alcohol content.
Impermeability: This tubing is much more impermeable than silicone elastomers
Extended Pump Life: It offers a superior working life on peristaltic pumps compared to similar tubing from competitors, with an average working life exceeding 190 hours when tested on a 3-lobed pump rotating at 600 turns per minute.
Minimal Spallation: It minimises spallation on pump heads.
This tubing complies with various standards, including ISO 10993-5 (Non-cytotoxic), ISO10993-4, USP CLASS VI, USP Physicochemical Tests-plastics, EU Regulation No. 10/2011 (classes A, B, C, D1), and FDA Reg. CFR 21-177.2600.
An outstanding feature of this material is that it is curing-free. It doesn’t require a vulcanisation process, thereby eliminating the risk of leaching curing agent residues into the end product (such as peroxide or platinum volatile residues). This not only ensures product purity but also contributes to energy savings and reduced CO2 emissions.
This tubing is an ideal solution for peristaltic pumps used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food sectors. Typical applications include dosing pharmaceutical fluids, sterile filling and dispensing systems, cell culture media, synthetic processes, purification and separation processes, laboratory use, dosing of soaps, creams, and detergents, as well as the dispensing of juices, alcohols, sauces, viscous fluids (syrups), waters, purified waters, milk, low-fat products, and beverages. It also allows for heat sealing and quick welding of multiple lengths without the need for connectors, ensuring stable flow throughout operations.
