Product Description
CushionGrid Matting is a specialist safety flooring solution designed primarily for surf simulators and wave machines, where reliable impact protection and efficient drainage are essential. Installed over the metal grates at the front and rear of surf simulators, CushionGrid helps protect surfers from hard surfaces while maintaining excellent water flow.
The matting features a hollow D-profile construction, delivering exceptional weld strength while allowing the flexible tubular structure to compress on impact. This creates a safe, cushioned landing surface that reduces the risk of injury during wipe-outs or falls.
Its open grid design allows water to drain freely, preventing pooling and maintaining a safe, slip-resistant surface. These properties make CushionGrid not only ideal for wave machines and surf simulators, but also highly effective for wet leisure environments such as swimming pools, hot tubs, spas, and Jacuzzi areas.
CushionGrid is designed for quick and straightforward installation. The matting can be cut to fit on site and laid without adhesive, while its one-piece construction reduces joins and ensures a cleaner, more secure finish.
Manufactured from flexible, heavy-duty PVC, CushionGrid offers excellent durability while remaining easy to handle. The matting can be rolled up for transport, repositioning, or cleaning, making it a practical solution for leisure facilities and maintenance teams. PVC also provides strong resistance to chemicals, oils, and acids, and is naturally resistant to bacterial growth, helping maintain a hygienic environment in wet areas.
For added safety, CushionGrid is manufactured to meet the EN ISO 13501-1:2007 Cfl-s1 flame retardant standard, providing additional reassurance in commercial leisure facilities.

Bespoke Panel Sizes
CushionGrid matting is available in rolls for on site fabrication and installation. Alternatively, we can supply factory fabricated panels in one piece that allows for quick and easy unrolling and installation. Due to shipping and handling restrictions, the maximum dimension of these panels is 5m on the shorter side.
